We collect your designs only when you voluntarily provide them through our secure upload portal or during project discussions for quoting, prototyping, or manufacturing purposes. This may include 2D/3D CAD models, STEP/IGES files, or other formats necessary to fulfill your order. We do not collect designs for any other reason without your explicit consent. By submitting designs, you confirm that you own or have the rights to the IP and authorize us to use them solely as described below.

2. Storage of Customer Designs

Your designs are stored securely on encrypted servers located in the United States, using cloud-based systems with restricted access controls. We employ industry-standard encryption (e.g., AES-256) during transmission and at rest to prevent unauthorized access. Access is limited to a "need-to-know" basis, granted only to authorized personnel involved in your project. We retain designs for as long as necessary to complete your order, resolve any disputes, or comply with legal obligations (typically 1 months to a year post-project completion, unless you request earlier deletion). After retention, files are securely deleted or anonymized. We do not maintain indefinite storage and can provide proof of deletion upon request.

3. Use of Customer Designs

Botchops CNC uses your designs exclusively to provide our services, including:

• Generating quotes and feasibility assessments.

• Programming CNC machines for prototyping or production.

• Quality assurance and version control during manufacturing.

We do not use your designs for any other purpose, such as internal research, marketing, or developing competing products, without your prior written consent. All uses are documented with version tracking to ensure accuracy and traceability. You retain full ownership of your IP at all times; our use does not transfer or imply any rights to us.

4. Sharing of Customer Designs

We do not sell, rent, or share your designs with third parties for marketing or unrelated purposes. Sharing occurs only in limited, necessary circumstances:

• With vetted manufacturing partners or subcontractors (e.g., for specialized finishing) under strict non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) that mirror our confidentiality obligations.

• As required by law, such as in response to a court order or regulatory audit.

Any shared files are transmitted via secure, encrypted channels (e.g., VPN tunnels) and include only the minimum details needed for the task. We conduct due diligence on partners to ensure they meet equivalent security standards.

5. Security and Confidentiality Measures

Protecting your designs is paramount. We implement multi-layered safeguards, including:

• Physical Security: Restricted facility access with surveillance in key areas.

• Technical Security: Firewalls, intrusion detection, dual-factor authentication, and regular vulnerability scans.

• Administrative Security: Employee training on IP handling, phishing awareness, and ethical practices; compliance with certifications like Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) where applicable.

All team members and partners sign confidentiality agreements. While no system is 100% impervious, we continuously audit and update our protocols to mitigate risks like data breaches or insider threats.

6. Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)

To further protect your IP, we offer mutual NDAs at no extra cost for projects involving sensitive designs. These agreements define confidential information (e.g., your files, processes, and pricing), restrict use to project needs, require return/destruction of materials upon completion, and extend obligations indefinitely for trade secrets. 7. Your Rights and Requests
